Rock the Boat Overnight Adventure Cruise Around the Bay of Islands

The Rock Classic Overnight Cruise is a tour of the Bay of Islands with loads of fun activities such as dusk fishing, snorkelling, collecting seafood (and eating it), island exploring and more. Our knowledgeable crew are on hand at all times to teach and guide you through all the new experiences and new skills you will learn.

Go night kayaking to marvel at the phosphorescence and enjoy incredible clear star-gazing with staff able to point out the major constellations, planets and galaxies. Go island hopping and learn about Project Island Song conservation project and the birdlife they are protecting. Accommodation in shared cabins, all activities, dinner, breakfast and lunch included. Cabins can be upgraded to private cabins and you can do this when you book online.

Social Protocols

  1. Make new friends - This is a group experience so go along prepared to start conversations and make some new friends :-)
  2. Respect the environment - You will be out in nature for this experience so please help protect our environment by taking all your rubbish with you.
  3. Be considerate of others - You’ll be part of a group, so it’s important to be kind and courteous.
  4. Be sun smart - Make sure you bring sunblock to protect yourself from the Kiwi sun (even on cloudy days!)

Cultural Protocols

  1. A chance to relax - This experience is one way Kiwis like to relax and enjoy life so it will seem very relaxed. Have fun, enjoy slowing down (away from work or study) and relax!
  2. Be a respectful visitor - You will be a guest during this experience, so please be respectful. Two important Māori customs are to take your shoes off indoors and avoid sitting on tables or pillows.
  3. Don't be shy - Kiwis are very friendly, open people so this experience is a great opportunity to not be shy, smile lots and make some new friends.
  4. Permission for photos - If you are taking photos that include other people, always ask them first if they are happy for their photograph to be taken.
